My TINNITUS website, by Mike Cohen
designed for MSIE 5 800X1024

NOTE TO READERS:

THE FOLLOWING LADY IS BEGINNING MONTH-LONG TINNITUS TREATMENT AT HADASSAH MEDICAL CENTER VERY EARLY IN THE YEAR 2000. SHE HAS TRIED AVAILABLE PROTOCOLS IN AMERICA - WITH LITTLE OR NO SATISFACTION. I HOPE TO REPORT ON HER STORY AND PROGRESS. PLEASE STAND BY FOR GOOD NEWS!

To Dear Mike and Ray:

Thank you both for your inspirational letters to TINNITUS TODAY.
You have not only given me hope, but you have also given hope to countless others suffering from this debilitating illness.  Even though we are told "No one dies from tinnitus, " there are those who have taken another way out and have ended their lives, after being told, "You have to live with it - no cure for you."

You both obviously care for other people.  The efforts you made to reach the editor of TINNITUS TODAY, Mrs. Barbara [Tabachnick] Sanders, has to be applauded. We are all MOST grateful. Also, we must not forget to thank Mrs. Sanders. Without her assistance, where would I be!

I am  enclosing copies of a recent "New York Times" article ["New way of Looking At Diseases Of the Brain," by Sandra Blakeslee; Science Pages 1-2; 10-26-99; discusses Dr./professor Rodolfo Llinas' research at NYU's Medical School on cortex/thalamus imbalance], which I thought interesting - of course, you may have already read it.

It was a relief to speak with dear Dr. Shemesh last Saturday [night]. Thank you, Mike for your efforts.  As you know, we finally connected.  As you both mentioned, Dr. Shemesh is a compassionate doctor, softly spoken and very honest.

Fortunately, there is hope for me.  My condition has not been caused by a trauma to the head.  These patients apparently cannot be helped one hundred percent.

Quite frankly, it will be with GREAT pleasure to write of my experiences and "cure" to TINNITUS TODAY.  Will be making arrangement shortly, and needless to say, will keep in touch with you, Ray, and looking forward to meeting you, Mike, in Jerusalem.

My very best to you both.

Yours,

(name withheld for now)

"We are the heroes of constant tinnitus,

Saying, 'Hissing and ringing didn't delight us.'

We've all made mistakes, but that's the past;

Here we've found some peace at last."
